Ekaterina Grushanina of Russia bested the 97 candidates around the world and was crowned as the new Miss Tourism International 2009. The beauty pageant was held in Zhengzhou, China. The Philippine delegate to Miss Tourism Queen International 2009 was 21-year-old Marie Razel Eguia.
